We are delighted to welcome you to the Final Conference of the WeGoCoop project which hosts the First Mediterranean Forum on Wetland Contracts, a flagship event dedicated to advancing sustainable management and governance of wetlands across the region. This Forum marks the formal launch of the Community of Practice on Wetland Contracts in the Mediterranean, a unique platform that brings together stakeholders, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices.

A central focus of the Forum is the Wetland Contract, a voluntary-based agreement and practical tool for collaborative governance, enabling local authorities, communities, and stakeholders to define shared objectives, implement coordinated actions, and monitor outcomes for the sustainable management of wetlands. At the same time, the event addresses broader issues of wetland governance, exploring strategies to strengthen policy coherence, stakeholder engagement, and regional cooperation.

This Final Conference will present key results, lessons learned, and innovative approaches developed through the project. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, explore practical solutions, and connect with peers from across the Mediterranean to foster ongoing collaboration.

The main objectives of this two days are:

to promote collaborative wetland governance,
to highlight the potential of Wetland Contracts as a governance instrument,
to enhance the capacity of stakeholders to implement sustainable wetland management,
to reinforce regional cooperation in promoting effective wetland governance.

By participating, you will gain insights into the latest initiatives and hands-on experiences, expand your professional network, and contribute to shaping the future of wetland management in the Mediterranean.

The event is open to the public and will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person (with limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue’s capacity is reached) and online. For both options, it is necessary to complete the registration form below. For online participants, please remember to enter your full name and affiliation before joining the session on Zoom.

- My images will be held in accordance with the GDPR guidelines (the General Data Protection Regulation);
- The images of myself captured in the video recordings and/or photographs will be the copyright of the project partners and any other intellectual property which arises in the photographs/recordings will also belong to the WE GO COOP project partners;
- This images (film and photography) of myself will be used exclusively in the framework of the project activities; except for the sharing of information strictly among Programme authorities (Member States, Certification Authority, Audit Authority) in order to perform their legal functions under the framework of the Subsidy Contract ruling the project, no data will be shared with third parties without your express consent and prior notification;
- I hereby agree to irrevocably assign all property rights in my photographs and/or recordings to the WE GO COOP partners;
- I hereby agree to waive all rights in my performance in the film and/or recordings to WE GO COOP partners.
- I can ask WE GO COOP partners to stop using my images at any time, in which case efforts will be taken to prevent them being used in future digital and offline publications but they may continue to appear in publications already in circulation.
- If the recording is going to capture me speaking (e.g. an interview, presenting information, etc), I also agree that I will only include any material in the recording which is the intellectual property (including copyright) of another party, if I have their permission or a licence to do so and irrevocably licence the WE GO COOP partners to use and sub-licence any copyright in the words spoken (once fixed by the recording).
